Climate

Jamaica enjoys a tropical climate, characterized by warm temperatures, abundant sunshine, and refreshing breezes throughout the year. The island’s weather is generally divided into two main seasons: the dry season, which runs from December to April, and the wet or rainy season, spanning May to November. Despite the rainy season, showers are typically brief and often occur in the afternoon, leaving plenty of time for outdoor activities.

Temperatures in Jamaica are consistent, ranging between 77°F (25°C) and 88°F (31°C) along the coasts, while cooler conditions can be found in the mountainous regions such as the Blue Mountains. Coastal areas benefit from trade winds, which help keep the heat comfortable, even during the summer months.

Hurricane season officially runs from June to November, with the peak occurring in September and October. While direct hits are rare, Jamaica occasionally experiences tropical storms or heavy rainfall during this time.

The island’s tropical climate makes it ideal for beachgoers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone seeking warm, sunny weather, no matter the season.
